As the company’s former Chief Executive Officer, Tom grew up in and around the sign industry and joined Luminous Neon in 1990. His experience includes leadership in sales, project management, estimating, operations, and outdoor advertising, among other areas.
In 2023, Tom and other members of the Sellers family, including Past-President Ron Sellers, and former Chairman Mert Sellers, exited decades of family ownership when the company was acquired by Mike King.
After continuing as CEO for another year after the acquisition, Tom moved into his current business development and senior advisory role in November, 2024. He is the first point of contact for the company’s new relationships with corporate, multi-location customers seeking a qualified partner for regional and national programs. Additionally, he works with USDs, churches, municipalities, and other entities to provide custom signage solutions.
Tom is a member of the Watchfire Dealers Council and past-president of World Sign Associates.
He currently serves on the Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System board of directors.
Previously, he served as Chairman of the Board of the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center, Chairman of the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce, and as a director of the Hutchinson Community College Endowment Association board.
Before joining Luminous Neon in 1990, he worked in the commercial real estate business in Kansas City and Cleveland, OH.
Tom graduated from Westminster College in Fulton, MO, with a major in Economics and Business Administration.
He enjoys travel and playing golf.
