Ryan leads western Kansas operations, which include the company’s primary sign manufacturing plant, and its field operations in Wichita, Hutchinson, Salina, and Dodge City. He oversees a program dedicated to sign projects for General Contractors and Architects, and he leads the company’s strategic planning efforts. Additionally, Ryan leads the day-to-day operations of the billboard and outdoor advertising sectors.

Ryan has worked in various roles across the country in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry throughout his career. Starting the day after high school graduation, he began working in the McPherson, Kan. refinery and various petrochemical facilities with King Enterprise Group. After college, he started with HNTB in Kansas City and supported many projects including the $1.2B I-74 Mississippi River Bridge project in the Quad Cities.

Moving to Washington, D.C., Ryan consulted for WMATA, helping improve financial and project control capabilities for their maintenance and capital improvement programs. At his last stop for HNTB, Ryan provided construction contracting and controls expertise to DFW International Airport’s Design, Code, & Construction department, specializing in alternative delivery projects including the award-winning High C’s Gate project, which used a groundbreaking, prefabricated modular construction approach to save time and limit disruptions for airline operations.

Ryan is a native of Hesston, Kan., and holds a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and a Master of Management Studies degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

He holds various industry certifications including OSHA-30.
